The “Black Music City” showcase will take place on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Rec Philly Studios , starting at 5 P.M. and concluding at 9 P.M. Rec Philly is located at 901 Market St., Philadelphia, PA, inside the Philadelphia Fashion District in the Center City region . This year marks the 5th anniversary of the “Black Music City” showcase, in partnership with Rec Philly, WXPN , WRTI , and the William Penn Foundation . The “Black Music City” showcase is a unique celebration of black creatives and their passions. During the event, over $125,000 in grants will be awarded to deserving individuals to help bring their projects to life.
