"International Find the Good Day"
The Junior League of Philadelphia, Inc. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. at their headquarters at 27 West Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore, PA 19003. The Junior League will be honoring September's Hunger Action Month with International Find the Good Day.
Junior League members collaborate with Mama-Tee Fridges to prepare 140 meals, spreading the word about the impactful work this organization does across the Philadelphia area. This event aims to strengthen community bonds, spread kindness, and create positive change throughout Philadelphia.
The Mama-Tee community fridge organization maintains fridges throughout the Philadelphia region, providing residents with access to fresh food. This initiative serves neighbors and families affected by food insecurity.
On September 20, 2025, Junior League members will prepare meals consisting of a wrap, a side salad, and yogurt. These meals will be distributed to community fridges located at senior living centers, schools, and pharmacies throughout the city.
As September is Hunger Action Month, this initiative represents a significant opportunity to make a community impact at the perfect time.
This event, is an initiative that's part of “Finding the Good Day” and is in association with “Junior Leagues International.” Feeding America founded the initiative Hunger Action Month. Feeding America's mission is to raise awareness about food insecurity and hunger in communities and provide nutritious food to families facing hunger.

For those interested in getting involved with this great organization, the Junior League of Philadelphia, Inc. welcomes individuals to sign up for its final recruitment event of the summer.
The recruitment event will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 7 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Microsoft Teams. Attendees will hear from current members about the organization's mission, key community service initiatives, the application process, and personal experiences that highlight the impact of being part of the Junior League.
Applications to join the Junior League of Philadelphia will remain open until September 23, 2025.
The Junior League of Philadelphia is a women-led organization dedicated to advancing women's leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
