We’re excited to announce that Sandbox VR Philadelphia has unveiled its newest and most exciting attraction. Sandbox VR Philadelphia is located at 1712 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103, and is a premier virtual reality destination in the renowned LOL Entertainment portfolio.

Sandbox VR has partnered with Netflix, the streaming network provider, to bring Philadelphia the exciting new “Stranger Things: Catalyst” immersive experience. In this Sandbox VR and Netflix “Stranger Things: Catalyst” immersive experience, guests will become test subjects in Hawkins Lab.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore a variety of iconic locations from the show, including the Rainbow Room, Creepy Mirkwood, and even The Upside Down.

Actor Matthew Modine plays Dr. Brenner, known as “Papa” in the show, and is a featured character in this unique experience. Guests will have to fight their way out of his lab.

In this new Sandbox VR Philadelphia experience, “Stranger Things: Catalyst,” in partnership with Netflix, players will have 45 minutes to fight against a variety of the show’s unique and well—known monsters, including the Demagorgan, Demodogs, and more. During this 45—minute experience, players will harness telekinetic powers like the character Eleven, played by actress Millie Bobby Brown.

LOL Entertainment knows how to operate and has a deep understanding of the many unique qualities and experiences that bring together the Philadelphia community, and the desire for spaces that encourage teamwork, creativity, and shared memories — all of which can be found at a variety of locations throughout the city, including Sandbox VR, Museum of Illusions, and Time Mission.

Sandbox VR’s goal is to create the world’s most unique and immersive experience using state-of-the-art, full-body virtual reality technology. We want to inform you that Sandbox VR only allows groups of up to six people at a time. Sandbox VR is based in San Francisco, California, and has offices in Hong Kong and Vancouver.

Sandbox VR is on a fast track of growth, expanding its global footprint with a variety of corporate-owned locations and franchise programs. Sandbox VR has operations in over 55 locations, and each location attracts over 100k monthly players.

Rob Cooper, the CEO and founder of LOL Entertainment, along with Philadelphia native, talked about his excitement about the collaboration with Sandbox VR and LOL Entertainment to bring such an experience to the city of Philadelphia.
